House Passes $819 Billion Economic Stimulus Bill

Per WMW:

The House approved an $819 billion economic stimulus plan on Wednesday on a 244-188 party-line vote. The bill attracted no Republican votes. The bill would cut taxes for individuals and businesses, provide billions of dollars for infrastructure projects, help states balance their budgets, and provide relief to millions of people who've lost their jobs or homes. Earlier, the House rejected a Republican substitute that would have emphasized tax cuts. The bill now heads to the Senate, with a goal of putting legislation on President Barack Obama's desk by mid-February.

And not a damn thing we can do about it, we were outnumbered. Only positive is no Reps voted for it..
